Plate

Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

Plate is a tool for making on-brand social graphics. This policy explains what we collect, including what we receive from Google when you sign in with a Google account, and how we use it.

Google account data

If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your account's email address and name with Plate. We use them only to create your workspace, sign you in, and show your name in the app.

We store that email and name in a signed cookie in your browser for 30 days. We do not receive your Google password. We do not ask for access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or any other Google data, and we do not keep a Google token after sign-in.

We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train models. We do not share it with anyone, except with Google itself as part of signing in.

What you create

Brand kits, designs, and images you add stay in this browser, on this device. They are not uploaded to Plate's servers.

Website research

When you paste a company website, our server fetches that public page to read its logo, colours, and copy. It may send that page text to OpenAI to draft a short brand description. That request does not include your Google account, your name, or your email.
